Cooking
Cooking has no menu and no crafting table. It is a set of real furniture props you place in the world: a pan, a pot, a cutting board, an oven, a milling stone, a fire pit with a spit, a butter churn, a sausage maker. Put ingredients on them, work the station, and the food item you get back tracks its own freshness, cooked state, seasoning and a 1–5 star quality rating: all shown in the item's name and lore. There is nothing to type; everything is a right-click.

The basic loop
The furniture and the two clicks that drive every station.
- 1. Place the furniture you need: Frying Pan, Pot, Cutting Board, Fire Pit, Milling Stone, Mixing Bowl, Oven Bottom + Oven Top with a Bread Tray, Butter Churn, Sausage Maker, Meat Hook, or a plain vanilla Cauldron.
- 2. Right-click the furniture while holding an ingredient to place it into one of the furniture's slots.
- 3. Right-click with an empty hand to take the item back out, or to operate the station (churn, turn the spit, stir).
- 4. Stations that need heat must sit above a heat source. For soup, place a Pot directly on an Oven Bottom, add logs and light them.
- 5. Cooking ticks once per second, so every time listed below is in real seconds, not ticks.
Your first soup
A simple carrot and potato soup to get you started.
Ingredients: 2 Carrots, 2 Potatoes, a Water Bucket and wood logs for fuel. Equipment: Cutting Board, Cutting Knife, Oven Bottom, Pot, Flint and Steel, Masher, Ladle and a Bowl.
- Put 2 carrots on the Cutting Board and cut them once with a Cutting Knife. Take the cut carrots off the board.
- Put 2 potatoes on the cutting board and cut them once with the Cutting Knife. Take the cut potatoes off the board.
- Craft an Oven Bottom and place it, then put a Pot on top.
- Right-click the pot with a Water Bucket to fill it.
- Right-click the Oven Bottom while holding wood logs to add fuel.
- Right-click the logs inside the oven with Flint and Steel to light them.
- Wait for the water to boil, then add either the cut carrots or the cut potatoes.
- Right-click the vegetables in the pot with a Masher to mash them into soup.
- Add the other cut vegetables and mash them in the same way.
- Once the soup has finished cooking, right-click it with a Ladle to take a serving.
- Pour the soup into a Bowl, then right-click to eat it.

Olive, Pistachio, Rhubarb and Garlic skip the cutting step and go straight to chopped : every other vegetable above is cut first, then optionally chopped again.
